Our Canadian Friends,

I have assumed my duty as the 29th Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Canada as of July 25, 2024.

Although Türkiye and Canada have entered their 81st year of diplomatic relations, in essence, the interaction between the two countries goes back much further, spanning a history of more than 100 years.In addition to their 72-year alliance relationship within NATO, Türkiye and Canada also take part in other multilateral platforms such as the G-20 and OSCE.

The potential for further development of our relations is always present and the opportunities are endless.

Our objective is to further strengthen the ties between the two countries, increase and diversify transportation lines, enhance business opportunities and develop and prosper together.

The contributions of the Turkish community to Canada are already increasing rapidly and the Turkish touch is becoming more visible in Canadian business and social life.It is also noted with pleasure that Canada's interest in Türkiye has grown steadily, especially in recent times.

Our students, whose numbers are increasing and studying in every corner of Canada, are both a bridge between the two countries and honorary representatives of our country here.

Increasing interaction between our countries has been a source of confidence for the coming period.

Joining hands and solidarity hold the key to overcoming all problems that may be encountered.

With this understanding, our Embassy and Consulates General in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver will continue their work in responding to all kinds of needs, and our doors will always remain open.
